High corrosion resistance duplex fcc + hcp cobalt based entropic alloys: An experimental and theoretical investigation

• A series of duplex fcc + hcp Co-based entropic alloys are discovered as a new category with outstanding mechanical properties. CALPHAD-based thermodynamic calculations were performed to facilitate alloy design and understand corrosion behaviors.
